Linton - Public School Track Long Jump Pits

A new long jump/triple jump runway and pit is being constructed on the Linton Sports Complex. Volunteers are needed to help prep the sandpit area, construct the wood perimeter, add the necessary amount of sand, and finish raking the area.

Linton - Public School Sports Complex

Volunteers will touch-up/repaint 'Home of the Lions' in front of the football field bleacher seats. The concrete face below the bleachers of the football field is painted gold, with maroon paws and a 'Lion' head. This area needs to be lightly scraped and receive a fresh coat of paint. In addition, the edge of each concrete step of the grandstand needs a fresh gold stripe painted on it to warn people of each step.

Neighbors Network

The goal of Neighbor's Network is to enhance the learning of school children by helping their families. Using a hands-on approach, staff work closely with each individual family to address issues related to parenting, organizational skills, relationships, independent living, and meeting basic needs.

Kids Give Back

About:

This project is family-friendly and targeted at families with elementary and pre-school children. Join in and make a difference in our community! A responsible adult must volunteer with the child(ren).

Project:

Young volunteers will have the opportunity to rotate between three stations.

  • Decorate duffel bags and collate hygiene items for the Sweet Cases Campaign, which gives local children in foster care a duffel bag to transport their items instead of a trash bag.
  • Tie tie-blankets for youth living at Charles Hall, Youthworks and Salvation Army, as well as blankets for the American Red Cross disaster assistance program.
  • Using their artistic skills to construct encouraging messages we’ll include for kids who participate in the United Way Backpack Program.

Great Plains Food Bank - Youth Project

This project is family-friendly and targeted specifically for preschool and elementary age children. Youth volunteers will have the opportunity to assist in repackaging produce for distribution to hungry families around ND.

The Great Plains Food Bank's mission is to end hunger in North Dakota and western Minnesota through community partnerships. We are the largest hunger-relief organization in North Dakota and serve as its only food bank. Each year, we touch the lives of one in 9 individuals who seek emergency food assistance.

Abused Adult Resource Center Office

The Abused Adult Resource Center provides emergency support, crisis intervention, temporary shelter, food, counseling, and advocacy to victims of domestic violence and domestic assault.

DZ's Hope House - Abused Adult Resource Center

Volunteers will be participating in general cleaning around the house. This may include projects such as, wall washing, cleaning oven, changing light bulbs, wiping down cupboards and window blinds, dusting and cleaning around the house, sanitizing toys and cleaning playroom. Volunteers will also assist with mowing the  lawn and trimming the weeds.

The Abused Adult Resource Center provides emergency support, crisis intervention, temporary shelter, food, counseling, and advocacy to victims of domestic violence and domestic assault.

Great Plains Food Bank - Morning

Mental Health America of ND

Volunteers will assist with exterior window cleaning and staining the outside ramp, fixing a wood rail on the ramp, paint the front and sides of the dormers on top of the roof, stain the picnic table, replace ceiling tiles  and paint new stripes in the parking lot.

Volunteers will be removing pressed board off the walls, removing various items for disposal, cutting grass, landscaping, sweeping a pasture picking up garbage to prepare for a trail, building bridges and painting various walls and signs.

Circle C Ranch is a non-denominational western event center and camp nestled into the peaceful valleys north of Bismarck.

Spay and Neuter Center - A Cause for Claws Thrift Store

Volunteers will assist in painting, washing store windows and mowing grass and pulling weeds. They also would like electrical help fixing florescent ceiling lights and replacing lightbulbs, as well as help researching grant opportunities.

Spay and Neuter Center of Bismarck and Mandan was founded to educate the population about the importance of spaying and neutering companion animals and to take a proactive approach to the animal population problem in this area.
