Who We Are

Crisis Care Chaplaincy has been caring for our emergency service personnel in the Bismarck area since 1979. Rev. George Walker founded the chaplaincy to assist the Bismarck Police Department in dealing with the stress that comes with the job. As the years went by, more agencies have seen the need for chaplains and utilized our services.

What We Do

The Crisis Care Chaplaincy is designed to support the efforts of its agencies by offering spiritual and emotional assistance to those facing   crisis. This is accomplished by assisting our agencies as the need arises when they are responding to emergency situations.  The value of the Chaplaincy seeks to lighten the burden of the personnel of our agencies by performing such tasks which tend to have a greater emotional and spiritual impact rather than legal implications.

Our chaplains are available 24 hours a day at the request of our agencies, to help the members, their families and others in times of illness, injury, sorrow, stress and tension. We assist with death notifications, unattended deaths, suicides, house fires, natural disasters, car accidents, and incarceration in the detention center.
