Volunteer: Adopt-A-Classroom

Adopt-a-Classroom is an MSA United Way program that connects caring volunteers with local students who benefit from extra support and encouragement. Volunteers spend time in the classroom helping children learn, grow, and build confidence—providing the positive attention every child deserves.

Activities may include reading together, assisting with crafts, sharing lunch, or helping students with classroom projects. These meaningful connections help students develop both academically and emotionally.

Volunteers visit the classroom twice a month for one hour. Available time slots include:

Tuesdays, 8:20–9:00 a.m. (2nd Grade)

Tuesdays, 9:00–9:40 a.m. (1st Grade)

Make a lasting difference in a child’s life. One classroom visit at a time.

Volunteer: Parents United

Parents United is a program led by MSA United Way that supports families through education, connection, and empowerment. Volunteers help plan and lead monthly sessions at a local elementary school, presenting on topics such as financial stability, health and wellness, parenting tips, and other life skills designed to strengthen families.

This is a rewarding, low-commitment way to make a lasting difference in our community. Volunteers meet once a month on the second Tuesday from 5–6 p.m. to engage with parents and help build a stronger foundation for local families!
