Who We Are

The Western North Dakota Chapter the American Red Cross serves the 26 counties covering western North Dakota and nearly 1,500 volunteers from the Minnesota and Dakotas Region, provide local disaster relief such as:

  • Immediate, short-term disaster assistance for victims of fires, floods, winter and summer storms and other natural or man-made disasters

  • Community disaster education

  • Safety classes for adults and youth

  • Emergency kits and supplies

  • International communication to locate family members separated by disaster or warfare

  • Emergency communication for military families

The chapter also mobilizes local volunteers and resources to help respond to disasters across the nation.

The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors.
