Girl Scouts is about providing copious amounts of experiences including camping. Girls have the opportunity to experience the outdoors in a whole new way. As a camp volunteer, you’ll assist girls in reaching new levels and learning new skills. Similar to all other Girl Scouts Dakota Horizons’ volunteer opportunities, volunteering for camp is according to your availability and interests. We put volunteers in roles according to your skills and interests. If you’re unsure about a certain topic, a camp director is always there to answer any questions you may have!
Skills:
- Flexible (and willing to go with the flow), adventurous and patient.
- Encouraging and willing to motivate girls, including all girls (including potentially modifying to accommodate all girls).
- Enthusiastic and willing to make it fun and meaningful for girls! Providing Girl Scout staff with a list of your strongest skills.
